Poem: Wicked Era

Color is no more
Birds will not sing
Paradise becomes a wasteland

Lady Liberty weeps as
An Era of Darkness is endured
Lady Justice suffers as
She is chained by her own Servants

The Warrior has become the Joker
Who dances for Dark Kings
Knights lose Honor
Whose Faith turns to Corruption

Hallowed Ground
A Circus it has become
A Court of Clowns
That None find amusing

The Eternal Fight turns
That is all We pray
May the Wicked Era end
And the Villains smited upon fall

Let Their Ragnarok come
So I can only hope
I await the next Revolution

Poem: My Worlds

My Worlds are out there
My Words are spread to the World
And yet I remain in the Shadows
Mediocrity is what I still embrace

My Name is known only to a Few
My Heroes remain in the Dark
Their Adventures tragically Secret
Their Deeds barely Sung

I am saddened my Children won't reach High
I am saddened my Children don't fly
For them, I wish all the Success in the World
But reality is not kind, not miraculous
Not for I, or my Treasured Children

For Mediocrity is the best I could hope for
For Obscurity is all I can gain
The Shadows remain cast
Over my Children ever more.

I changed my mind

Hey everyone.

So in my previous post, I mentioned how I'd divide up my current project into different parts to publish them individually.. Well, I changed my mind. It turned out to take less chapters than I thought, so I thought I'd stick to making just one volume that encompassed all the story arcs. I'll still divide them into parts, but I'll hold off on publishing until I put them all together. Sorry if I got your hopes up with this, but I gotta do what I think is best for the novel.

Anyway, happy reading!

Structure

Hey, everyone!

I hope you've all had a good August so far. Me? It's going so-so. I've been making good headway of one of my current novels. Speaking of which, I thought I'd take the time to let you all know what I'm planning for it.

As I think I mentioned in an earlier blog, I'm working on the sequel to Quest for the Witch. Quest for the Witch, if you don't already know, follows the adventures of a witch's apprentice, who has to go on a quest across the country, and end up helping out others with their serious magical problems along the way. The way I made that novel, it was like a couple of episodic adventures, or mini-story arcs piled up into one novel. I planned to do the same for the sequel, but because of the way the first story arc's going right now, I'm instead going to divide the novel into parts and publish those parts separately. It was a strategy I thought about using for a while now, so the sequel to Quest for the Witch is a good opportunity for me.

I'm already close to finishing up Part One of my new novel Journey With A Witch. Just a few more chapters to go. And then I'll have it published on Amazon Kindle. For the individual parts, I might just stick to solely eBooks, and then when it comes time to compile them all into one volume, then I'll have the story published in paperback.

So about Journey With A Witch, like I mentioned earlier, it's about a bunch of kids who wound up in the world of Quest for the Witch and must travel with a witch they meet in order to find a way home. They'll experience tons of adventures along the way and may even end up saving a town or two. I hope you look forward to them.

I'm also planning to make each of the eBook versions of the parts free for a week at or around the time they're published. So yay to you guys who can enjoy my novel without actually paying for it.

Well, that's all I got to say this time around.  See you next time!

Happy reading!

Writing Updates

Hey, everyone!

I hope you've all had a great summer. Mine is pretty much sweltering. But that's to be expected living in an island state.

Anyway, as I had mentioned in my earlier blog, I've decided to work on a sequel to my fantasy novel, Quest for the Witch. It is what some people would call an "Isekai" story, in that it's about how a bunch of kids from our world somehow end up in another world, which, for this story, happens to be the world of Gwendolyn the Eternal Witch. I've been moving pretty quickly through the story, but I'm sure I'll slow down, eventually. I might be more experienced at writing than when I first started the previous story, but it's not like I'm a master of it. Even now, I'm struggling with two other stories that I've been working on, one to the point of taking a seat in my backlog again.

I'll be focusing on the two fantasy works on my plate for a while. Maybe when I'm done, I'll finally get to working on the final main novel of a teen series I've really taken a liking towards, the supernatural, sci-fi thriller series, the Ben and Co. Novels. I purposely left some questions left unanswered in the last novel I published, Extraterrestrial which will be followed up on in the next one. Can any of you guess what to expect in the next novel? If not, too bad. I'm not going to give any more hints than I already did in the novel.

Anyway, that's all the updates I could think to give you.

Happy reading, everyone!
