Probably the last post of the year!

Hey, everyone!

Wow. Has it really been close to two months since my last blog? Time sure flies when you're busy with life.

Anywho, I just thought I'd give you all an update to what's been going on.

So, I'm close to finishing the latest Ben and Co. novel. Just a few more chapters to go! That's something to be excited about. After that, I'm hoping to move on to the next Paladin Academy story. I've been itching to get to that one, since it'll give a more proper introduction to one of my favorite characters in the series.

Now what else is there to talk about? Oh yeah!

Well, I've done it again. Just increased my writing workload with the start of a new story series. This one is a bit of horror/fantasy for younger readers (around E 10+) featuring classic monsters and fairy tale creatures. The premise will be the main character chronicling his adventures with his new step-brother and friends, who just happened to be monsters, solving supernatural cases. Here's a pic that I'm planning to use for the eventual book's cover art.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.

Have a happy reading and have a happy new year!

Happy Halloween!!

Hey there, followers of my blog! I hope you're having a chilling and thrilling Halloween this year. As for me, not very eventful. So, for this day of frights and screams, I thought I'd share a poem with all of you.
Hope you enjoy. Happy reading, and happy Halloween!

I Am the Unseen by, Victor Kwok

I am the unseen.
I have no substance.
But I remain chained.
My presence is rarely perceived.

Specialists call to me.
But my voice seems to never reach.
But my presence will be known.
My story will be known.
My pain will be known.

The end remains constantly in my memory.
I will never fade.
This place is my home.
This place is my prison.
My endless prison.

And soon, it will be yours too.

After Two Months, Hi! And Exciting ANNOUNCEMENT!

Wow. Has it really been almost two months since my last post? Time sure flies when you're busy. And man have I been busy. These days I barely have time to write my stories, what with having a full-time job and all. Don't worry. I'm still working on my stories. One of them is even close to the final stretch. It'll probably still be a while before I actually finish it though. There are still a couple of chapters left.

Now onto some announcements.

From September 24 to September 28, 2016, three books will be FREE on their Amazon Ebook pages. Mark your calendars, ladies and gents! Which three books will be costing $0.00, you ask? Why, just look below and find out!

Sarah Wu manages to get into an exclusive boarding school, Paladin Academy, through a scholarship for people with talent for magic. There, she makes new friends with a kid genius and even reunites with her long-lost brother, a teacher at the school and a powerful mage to boot. Now if only it weren't for her brother being a ginormous no-brains prankster and a certain arrogant classmate, things would be perfect. Oh, and was it mentioned that strange, dangerous things, were happening around her? How's a teenage girl to cope with all this excitement?

Long Time No See

Wow. Has it really been two months. Time sure flies when you're busy. And, unfortunately, I don't mean with writing for me. I have just found a full-time job, so I'm kept busy even more from writing my stories. I still write, but at this rate, it'll probably be a long time before I finish writing anymore books. And I have so many unfinished series to work on. I hope I'll get them done soon. I already pretty much have their endings clear in my mind. But it will take a lot of work to get there for each and every one of the series I'm working on.
Anyway, here's to the new month! Happy reading everyone!

Disappointing Month

Hey followers of my blog. Man, it's been a looong time since I last posted on this blog. The month of May has been a disappointing one for me as a writer. I don't think I have to paint a picture why that is, since it's something I'm sure a lot of indie writers might go through. The reason's probably because I've been going at a really turtle-speed pace with my writing and haven't had much of a presence online. And, unfortunately, that's probably going to continue well into the summer. Summer is probably going to be my busiest time out of the four seasons that'll keep me from writing a lot. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up the pace soon.
So far, I'm about halfway through the next Ben and Co. novel. And maybe around one-fifth of the sequel to Country of Dragons. I aim to finish at least one of them by the end of 2016.
This time, this blog post is a bit of me whining. Thanks for putting up with that. Until next post, happy reading everyone! And have a happy summer reading!

Been a While

Hey everyone.

Wow. Once again, it's been a while since I last posted on my blog. One of the main reasons for this is laziness. The other main reason is, of course, the usual daily concerns of a millennial out of college. So, let's catch up on what's been happening. After my last post, I put together some of my poems into a small book and published it on Amazon and Createspace. Some issues were just addressed in Createspace, so it should be available on there soon as paperback. But for now, enjoy the ebook version on Amazon.

Here's what it'll look like:

That's what the cover looks like. Made it myself. I wonder who the camera-shy guy is though. Think you can guess?

Anyway, find the ebook version of my first ever book of poems by clicking HERE

Happy reading, everyone!

Announcement

Hey, followers of my blog. I'm just writing this post to give you all a quick update on what's been happening, and give an announcement, which you have probably guessed from this post's title. Anywho, lately things have been getting a tiny bit more busy for me lately what with more life worries to deal with. The same struggles of this millennial just never seem to end. I'm sure we've all been there, especially if any of you are recent grads. But I am writing a bit more often than I used to, and hopefully will finish my next novel some time this year at least.

Now about the announcement, which is the point of this post. If you'll check my Poetry Archive, you'll notice that there are fewer poems listed than there should be. That's because I'm planning to publish some of my poems into a single book on Amazon and Createspace. I'm still deciding on the title, and I'll need to brush up the doc file before submission and so forth. But effective today, the pages that host the poems I choose will be taken down, deleted, and the links will be invalid. Apologies for the inconvenience, but I'll probably write more poems when the mood strikes me. So look forward to those in the future.

That's it for this post.

Happy reading, everybody!

Poem: Another World

To another world I go.
A world of sword and magic
A realm of lasers, guns, and science of aliens
A world of costumes of all countries, times, and planets.
Adventure awaits!
Quests to complete.
Monsters to slay.
Enemies to defeat.
Now I go!
Now I log in!

Been a while.

Hey, it's been a long while since I last posted on this blog. I've been lazy these past few days, which was after the final week of my college term, and boy was it a really busy term. I haven't been writing my stories all that much. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up speed from now on. Anyway, something new: if you haven't checked out My Books page or my Country of Dragons page, or my Twitter, then you don't know that I updated the cover image of my book, Country of Dragons. Here's the image on the bottom.

Yes, it's not that good, but I wanted to try make my own images instead of borrowing images from Createspace.com.
Happy reading, everyone!

Late Happy New Year + Poem: Peace and Quiet

Hey, everyone!

First off, I know this is like a couple of weeks late already, but HAPPY NEW YEAR! I've been busy not only with the celebration but with my college homework too. I'm looking forward to getting a lot done this year in terms of my writing. Here's to trying to make 2016 our year!

Second, I thought I'd also share with you my second poem of the year. The first poem of the year was posted via Twitter through a photo of something I wrote by hand. This second poem and maybe some in the future will be the same.

Here it is. I hope you enjoy.
