Poem: Me

 Me

Born to Hard Workers

Raised in Land taken by the Land of the Free

Liberal at heart, Conservative in practice, Woke in Beliefs

Grew up a boy as typical as can be

A childhood of superheroes and action on TV

From Harry Potter, the start of bibliophilia

From High School, the start of Manga and Anime Mania

A Mania Lifelong

By college, begins a following of journeys into the paranormal

Inspired by the fear of what lays Beyond

Who remains a follower now, may have his own journeys in the future.

Far flung though when hair is gray or white

From comic books to novels

Such steps to my desired career began

From poetry, a running faucet of expression

Through lit-up screens, it is all poured

From children to teen years,

Stories of America inspire

The Righteous Spirit, Justice for All

A respect for Everyone's Freedoms and Rights

But come a span of One Decade Disappointment grips a Heart for the Constitution

A Head shaken at Those Who Speak of Family Values yet Act against those same Values

A Groan to Fools and Clowns ignorant, blind or uncaring of Prices Paid for their Actions

As Mistakes are made in Endless Loop

As Time spins and Boy turns to Man, a Regression

Tighter locked Lips and dialed down voice

Words less spoken and sparse

Yet are endlessly and countlessly spilled in Text

Thus is My Portrait

A Display of Inside and Out

What is willingly spilled and shared

Deeper in, a Box locked, sealed even to those of Same Blood
