Hey, Everyone!
Wow! More than half the year has passed, and boy, to say the least, it has been an interesting one. For lots of reasons. Not just because of what's happening around the world, but also because of stuff happening to me personally. But you guys didn't come here for that sort of stuff, so let's get right down to it.
So far, I've managed to get out one book this year, a compilation of The Magical Trials of Lily Wong. And it is definitely not over yet, ad I think I mentioned before. Since the beginning, I had a sequel in mind with ramped up stakes, new enemies and new allies alike.
I also still have three more ongoing stories: the latest volume of The Mysteries of the Community Service Club and The Pearl of Fate in the Narrow Alleys on my blog, and a novel series, Lucy's Emeron Journey. I am close to finishing the final Lucy's Emeron Journey book, but it looks like actually completing it is still something far off into the future. I want to get that taken care of before I begin the next volume of Lily's own adventures.
But to add more work for myself, I have also begun writing the start of a new series, The Tales of the Vampire's Coffee Shop. It's connected to the original Vampire's Coffee Shop stories, but it is neither a proper prequel or a sequel. I plan it to be a mix of both. Just a series of short stories from the title character's entire tenure as a coffee shop's owner. One of the things I aim to do with the series is explore a side of the Vampire I felt I was unable to fully in the original stories: his side as a mentor figure.
Out of all the stories I'm writing on this blog, it will be the most sporadic. Don't expect to see chapters for this series to show up as often as the others. The final chapter probably won't show until long after some of my other stories have ended their run. Perhaps after I've completed the next Lily Wong volume. Depending on the future, it may or may not be the final story to conclude my entire Emeron World saga.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that I created my own Ko-Fi page. If you like my stories, how about treating me to some coffee? It will be a great source of motivation for me, no matter how small. You can find my Ko-Fi page by clicking the above blue text or head over to my Links page.
Lastly, with upcoming personal things, you may find me going quiet for a few weeks at a time. Don't you worry, though. That doesn't mean I will ever stop writing stories. It's still too early for me to be putting down my pen.
That's all I got to say for now. As always, I hope you find my stories as a good way to pass the time. And I wish you happy reading!
- V. K.
