Extraterrestrial (Excerpt)

Hey, everyone! It's been a long time, hasn't it? How have you all been? Me? The same-old, same-old, just living life day by day, going to work, watching TV, and writing stories in my spare time.

Speaking of stories, I just published another novel on Amazon a few weeks ago. Probably should have made some kind of announcement here longer, but I'm a lazy person who usually just scrolls through social media rabidly once or twice a day, rather than engage.

Anyway, the latest book of mind to hit the Amazon digital shelves is called Extraterrestrial, another installment of my Ben and Co. novel series which is chock full of supernatural, sci-fi action. This time, once more, Ben and his allies find themselves challenged by the very evil, very crazy scientist genius Dynastes. It'll be their final confrontation, and boy do things go crazy around them.

To get a small taste of what to expect in the story, here's an excerpt. If that get's you even a little bit interested, you can find both the ebook and the paperback version of the novel on Amazon by clicking the link HERE.

Enjoy

Wait. What was that?

Hanako bent down, pressing her face close to the monitor. Her eyes were so close that she could make out the colorful digital grains flickering across the screen.

"Hey!" Qian snapped. "Don't put your eyes so close to the monitor. You'll ruin them!"

But Hanako ignored him. She was focused on Jane and John's hands.

That had to be her imagination. Hanako prayed that it was just that. BUt in her heart, she knew that what she saw was not her imagination. And her heart's suspicions were confirmed just a second later.

Around John's hands, electricity visibly crackled. His hands were lade flat at his side, as if poised to stab.

Hanako didn't waste any more time. She broke away from the ring of computers and rushed to Emily.

"Huh!?" Emily cried out. Hanako had reached her just in time before she could open the door and pulled her away. She, then, shoved Emily further in to the room.

"What was that for!?" Peeved at how roughly Hanako had treated her, Emily angrily demanded an explanation. Hanako, however, ignored the question.

"Stay behind me!" she barked. "Grandfather, you too!"

"Don't call me that!" Qian snapped. "I'm not your grandfather!"

He was soon cut off by the door shattering from an explosive impact. A large bolt of lightning burst through flying debris and wood splinters. It flew straight for the space between Hanako's eyes.

Well, that's roughly how it'd look. I tried copy-pasting from a word document, but for some reason, Blogger messed it up on the actual page. Not the first time it's happened, and it gets really annoying having to type in everything over again. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the excerpt and will support me on the writing front.

Happy reading, everyone!
