Epistle Poem: Dear Mr. Publisher

An epistle poem is a poem that is written and read like a letter. Today, I wanted to share an epistle poem I wrote for my college English class. I couldn't really think of anything else to write at the time, so I went with a query letter to the publisher for my book PARANORMAL. There's a few changes since I turned this poem in to my professor. Enjoy.

Dear Mr. Publisher

I am a writer who wishes to
have his work on store shelves.
I want my work to spread as far as J. K. Rowling's did.
That was the dream I harbored since middle school.

I guarantee that this
work is bestseller material,
popular for middle grade youth
and young adult teens.

It is an epic tale in which four
young people leading different lives
find themselves thrust together
into a world of danger and paranormal
abilities.

They will find themselves
facing against two powerful
groups, both with different goals,
but matching interest of a particular
member of this group of teens.

It's actually going to be a series.
I have so many ideas for adventures
the hero will undergo.
I can hardly keep them inside of me.

I hope to hear from you soon.
Please, please, please respond soon.
